Copper Isotopes Used in Mineral Exploration

چکیده
Abstract The use of copper isotopes related to ore deposit location and genesis has greatly expanded over the past twenty years. isotope values in ores, rocks, soils, water range greater than 10‰ provide ample isotopic variation identify interpret complex geological process. From an exploration standpoint, waters, sulfides weathered rocks vector mineralization at depth. Ground surface waters display greatest potential for both green brownfields exploration, whereas Fe-oxides other minerals compositions are nascent. perspective, serve as a redox proxy aid unraveling magmatic hydrothermal processes metal sulfide precipitation. In summary, approaches by mining industry ideal they point directly economic interest should be employed all stages mine life from extraction, environmental monitoring post-mining activities.

A clustering approach for mineral potential mapping: A deposit-scale porphyry copper exploration targeting
This work describes a knowledge-guided clustering approach for mineral potential mapping (MPM), by which the optimum number of clusters is derived form a knowledge-driven methodology through a concentration-area (C-A) multifractal analysis. To implement the proposed approach, a case study at the North Narbaghi region in the Saveh, Markazi province of Iran, was investigated to discover porphyry ...
متن کاملFast Mineral Exploration System with Remote Sensing and Its Application-a Case of Porphyry Copper Exploration in West Dzungaria, china
The fast mineral exploration system with remote sensing is a brand new exploration system of recognition, identification, analysis and prediction. It takes metallogenic materials as the detection targets, uses the spectrum measuring technique as detection means and takes the spatial and temporal sequence of mineralization and alteration information as an evaluation basis. It develops and improv...
متن کاملThe use of stable isotopes in studies of mineral metabolism
In recent years stable isotopes of metallic and semi-metallic elements have become popular as tracers in studies of nutrition and metabolism. There are several recent reviews on the use of stable isotopes of the mineral elements (Janghorbani & Young, 1980; Janghorbani et af . 1985). The orientation of these reviews has tended toward neutron-activation analysis in conjunction with the faecal iso...

متن کاملAutomatic Image Analysis for Mineral Exploration
Quantitative analysis of geoscientific data to determine the areas most likely to contain mineral deposits is becoming increasingly common in the mining industry. The approach is based on characterising areas known to contain deposits and seeking similar areas elsewhere. This paper presents an automatic image processing technique for the prospectivity analysis of Archaean lode gold deposits, wh...
